Life Is Expensive. Especially When You Prefer To Look Good Doing It.

Okay I know I said I hated Valentine's Day but I was strangely disappointed to find out that Caleb has to work all weekend! I feel like taking a whole weekend to go away to the beach or Seattle or something fun. We rarely have time to spend the whole day together without worrying about work so Valentine's Day seemed like a good time to do that! I guess now that I'm with him I appreciate the stupid consumer holiday a little bit more (:

He always finds some way to make me feel like a princess anyways so I'm not worried!

Anywho, I went with Nikki to get her cast off today and we hung out with her Mamma for a bit. Always a blast. Can't wait for her to be up on both feet so we can go shoe shopping! Maybe my favorite kind of shopping...shoes are the thing I notice first about a person. They can make or break an outfit. Make you look slutty, sexy, cute, athletic, simple, old, young, put together, or just plain drab. It's a necessity to have decent shoes on at all times. The wrong shoes can make you look like you have no idea what you're doing. And that's not good. So anyway, glad that's cleared up.

(:

I'm so sleepy today, I think I've been sleeping too much. Not a bad problem to have I guess. But it's really crampin' my style. I hate feeling like I need a nap at 3 in the afternoon. I also haven't bought coffee in the last few days which also a huge disappointment. I need money! I really need a job. Because I need coffee and new makeup and I haven't been able to REALLY shop like I know how in, oh, 3 months. GOING NUTS.

Where else could I possibly look? I've filled out dozens of applications. No one's hiring until spring. But I don't think my wardrobe can wait that long.

UGH.

Life is expensive. Especially when you prefer to look good doing it.

1. When I worked for Marriott Hotels, I attended a mandatory Sales School in Seattle and had to give a short presentation on my "theory" of a great salesperson and an effective salesperson via a piece on 81/2 x 11 piece of construction paper and anything else I could think of to glue on it. In short, I won for best presentation because I had a picture of a pair of absolutely to die for shoes on it, my theory...anyone can be a good salesperson, and just a few more can be great at it but in order to be fabulous...it is all about the shoes! First impressions only happen once! I still have the "makeshift storyboard" LOL.

2. Too bad you didn't let me in on your choice to stick around a bit longer to find a job...I found the BEST job for you about three weeks ago. It was product demo and writeup about it on their website for an online catalog. What was the catalog and product demo-ing of? SHOES!!! Nothing but shoes! :(
